Just a friendly reminder... stress test on SiSi today at 11.00 - 15.00 (eve time, its during the downtime). If you whine about performance in Eve, at least make an effort to contribute to the solution. Mkey?
Besides, you might get to shoot me. I realize it may not be a challenge, but at least you can say you killed that annoying guy that posts alot in the forums...
CU there. :)

You should be able to just log on if its using the same version as Tranquility does. You shouldnt have to install a patch or anything like that. We'll see... this thread will serve as a guide to how to get on there. :)
I really hope we dont have to patch, since I know tons of people will then install the patch in their main game directory...

Originally by: Sahjahn ah right, yeah i'm a subscriber but only about 3 months old. I had heard of people asking their account be activated ro character moved to sisi so i didn't know if you had to ask permission to use the test server.
Well, the test server uses a complete mirror of TQ. So depending on when the mirroring was done, your char may or may not exist on the test server.
I think their latest mirror is more recent than 3 months ago though, so you should be OK. --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune |

Originally by: Achilles Thorongmor Well they need to mirror it NOW if they want people to play for any amount of time. Most people don't want to play on Sisi if they're skills are out of date by more than a few days.
They cant, it requires an extended downtime for a couple of hours from what ive seen them say before. If you are on SiSi often, you notice when a mirror has been made, so then you just keep your char training both on SiSi and TQ. Its not a big problem really.
Originally by: Elena Lanfear Can somebody explain me how to log in? I get always incompatible build when i try to log in SiSi. I would like to help with the stress test but atm it seems the server doesnt like me. ;-)
Yeah, i have the newest version and i play regulary on TQ, so my client should be uptodate ;-).
Thx in advance!
Its not working yet, be patient. :)

Im not patching anything until I know that the info we have in the news is incorrect. They have said "same version as TQ" for the test.

Yes, they are completely separate from eachother.

Its using the 28892 version. News also says we are supposed to play as normal, so there is no organized test it seems. Well, come kill me in FFA then... and take out lofty as well. :)

Download test patches from the test server page here.
Make copy of TQ install. Apply patch to the copy. Important. Grab the patch that updates the game to version 28892.

Whoever is responsible for this mess that this test turned out to be... thanks for wasting my time. I could have organized this test better myself. :(
1) /me tries to rally people to the test 2) /me reads news, says "same version as TQ" 3) /me tells people to not patch since the news should be correct. Its not. 4) People tries hard to find the correct patch. The client offers people do download the wrong version. Doesnt matter though, since the download wont start anyway. 5) People find out that the latest version is 28892. 6) People get on the test server, noticing there is no planned event. To be fair, the news did say "play as normal". You cant play as normal on a test server, ccp...you need something to do. Who starts mining/trading on the test server? 7) Notices the 150 people in local and about 400 people on the server after 2 hours of testing. Stress test? Not likely without stress. 8) Waiting for some kind of post from ccp. Nothing. 9) Gives up.
Im disappointed. This sucked. Sorry to all the people who tried to take part in making this test valuable, I wasted your time with this thread.
